“Four Blood Moons” and a false prophet

Warning: Do not heed this "prophet"
Warning: Do not heed this “prophet” John Hagee

[Additional Note, Aug 6 2014. Of course the Blood Moon teachers are announcing, Aha! I told you that Israel  and Gaza would go to war! Well, of course they predicted no such thing, but when someone says that “something will happen”; and then something, anything happens; one can then claim, See, I told you something would happen!” This is technically called Vaticinium ex eventu, that is, pretending to have given a prior prediction but only after the events take place.]

I love the Lord’s coming and have written much on the topic. Perhaps this is why false predictions get under my skin so badly. Click HERE. Maybe it’s because these authors will sell millions more books than I do – you’ll never go broke predicting the apocalypse.

Just flipped through the Four Blood Moons material by John Hagee, who got all his material from a man named Mark Biltz. It turns out that the world isn’t going to (was not going to?) end in the late 1990s, as Hagee once predicted. Now it will happen because of eclipses in 2014 and 2015, which supposedly line up with the Jewish feasts Passover/Pesach and Tabernacles/Sukkoth. He has little Bible evidence to back it up, just a few references to “moon” plus lots of prophetic three card monte.

His astronomy also seems to be badly off (click HERE). For example, although an eclipse on Passover night seems wildly improbable to a Gentile, we should remember that lunar eclipses only happen on full moons; and second, that Passover by definition always takes place on a full moon. Sukkoth also by definition coincides with a full moon.

It’s easy to predict a lunar eclipse (HERE’s NASA’s page on it; and see NatGeo), but Hagee is wrong: it’s impossible to predict a “blood” one. Many lunar eclipses are reddish or coppery. I saw a red moon when I was a kid, and it was caused by atmospheric conditions, but it is a factor which is not predictable.

He also takes time to try to convince the reader to support the Israeli Settler Movement. His Christians United for Israel gives the impression that the principal criterion to show who really loves God’s ancient people is to back unlimited settlement of the West Bank; in fact, I and many believers support Israel without accepting the policies of the Netanyahu government, the Likud party, or the Settlers. There  are plenty of Israelis – 2/3 of them, in fact – who reject the Settlement policy. Likewise, and contrary to what we hear in the States, it is not true that most Jews want to rebuild the Temple (HERE).

It is stunning that such authors come out with bestselling and lucrative books every year or two. I thought in 2011 we all said we weren’t going to fall for this again, when Harold Camping twice missed the date of the Second Coming?

And no, it’s not different this time.

The book’s subtitle is a useful indicator: “Something is About to Change.” He states that “No one knows the mind of God but the anticipation of these events tells us something will happen.” Really!? Things will change next year? Whatever happens, then, I guess he can claim victory and go home.

We subject ourselves to (justifiable) ridicule every time there is an asteroid or a planetary alignment or an eclipse, when we run around crying that the sky is falling. In 2013, it was the Comet ISON that was supposedly the harbinger of doom from Rev 8:11 (the blog where it had been posted apparently has since removed the announcement!). How much better to live in the faith, wisdom, love and grace that the Spirit wants to grow in us.

And let no-one say, “Well, I’m not predicting a date, I’m just sayin’.” Yes, he is predicting a date, and yes, he ought to repent while there is still time.

Afterward: John Hagee teaches other serious errors concerning the gospel and the Jews’ relationship to it; there are other blogs that are handling that issue. Mark Biltz too is a teacher in the Hebrew Roots Movement, telling gentiles that they need to eat kosher, worship on Saturday and use only their Bible translation.

  1. You have only touched the top of the iceberg of Hager’s errors. He has healing retreats that rely on alot of humanistic psychological theories to bring healing to people. Oh what garbage

  2. Yes, they all false, but I only tested Mark Biltz spirit because his videos on Youtube were the first ones that I came upon as recommended videos to watch. Just by listening to his interviews on Youtube, I realize that he is a false prophet/a false teacher. Astrology and scientology has nothing to do with the bible. He is basing science with the bible which is so wrong. I can’t believe how gullible the host and the audience are when I was watching that supernatural TV show that I hate called “Sid Roth It’s Supernatural.” The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile” according to verse 1 Corinthians 3:19-20. Science is based on theory, not on facts, but yet, fake Christians and even unbelievers seem to believe in what mere man have to say and not what God has to say. For Paul warns Christians in Galatians 1:7, saying, “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.” No one, not even great preachers, has the right to change the message that God gave us. For in verse Galatians 1:9, he says, “If anyone is preaching to you a gospel other than what you first accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” Mark Biltz is a money monger; for he have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error (Jude 1:11). Such are the paths of all who accepts a bribe (Proverbs 17:23, Psalms 26:10 and Deuteronomy 16:19) and who goes after ill gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it – Proverbs 1:19.

Let me tell you in my own perspective on why Mark Biltz is a false teacher and a false prophet.

First of all, no man can interpret the signs of Jesus Christ’s coming other than (signs of seasons, signs of night to day, signs of months to years in reference to verse Genesis 1:14) because if that was the case, Jesus wouldn’t say in verse Matthew 16:3-4, “You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Many times before, false prophets have appeared on TV stating that Jesus Christ would come during this time or during this month, day, and year, but never did there prophecy come to pass. Yet, as gullible as these fake Christians are, they would still listen to these types of false teachings because that is what their itching ears wants to hear according to verse 2 Timothy 4:3-4. This is how you distinguish a false prophet from a true prophet… A true prophet warns the rebels about their sins that if they don’t turn away from their sins, a curse and a plague will come upon them. A false prophet warns the rebels about keeping watch of the signs of Christ’s return by giving false consolation and giving lying divinations for them which is a sin according to verse Deuteronomy 18:10-14. Verse Lamentations 2:14 describes these false prophets. Since Mark is linking the blood red moons to the feast of tabernacles and is linking the seasons with the feast, he is getting gullible Christians to believe that they should celebrate the feast by engaging in signs from the moon and the sun above, when in fact, it is against God’s law to do such a thing according to Deuteronomy 4:19 and Isaiah 47:13-14.

Second of all, if Mark Biltz wants us to focus on and keep watch on the appointed feast; divine appointment due to the blood moon of the feast falling on the day of Jesus Christ’s return. Then why would Jesus say in verse Mark 13:32-33, “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.” Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.” That’s because there is nothing that Mark Biltz says is facts. He’s delusional because October 8, 2015 is when Jesus will not return. For the scripture says, no one knows the day or the hour. All of you fake Christians need to stop trying to figure out when Jesus is going to return!

Third of all, the word “SEASONS” in Genesis does not mean “FEAST” in Leviticus.” The definition of seasons is not even the same as the definition of feast, so how in the world would he come up with that idea? Seasons translated in hebrew is not feast or moed or appointed times. Seasons in Hebrew is ‘onot. If you speak Hebrew, you will know that the word seasons in Hebrew is ‘onot. Mark Biltz needs to not add to the word of God. He is in fact breaking this commandment mentioned in verses Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32 and Revelation 22:18-19.

Fourth of all, there is no term “Tetrad” or “Lunar Eclipse” in the bible, just like there is no term “Trinity” nor the term “Rapture” in the bible (which the term “The Resurrection of the Dead” is in the bible, not the term “Rapture”). There is a term “New Moon” and “Blood Moon” in the bible, but it has nothing to do with the tetrads or the lunar eclipse. Mark Biltz says, “A blood moon tetrad has landed on the biblical feast days only 8 times in the last 2000 years.” Where in the bible does it say that? No where! The bible states that the blood moon will happen before the great day of the Lord, but it only mentioned about the blood moon twice which these two verses (Joel 2:31 and Revelation 6:12) are in reference to each other, so that makes the blood moon a one time thing). Of course, I will get tons of comments saying that the scripture says that there will be great signs from heaven. However, they will fail to realize that the moon blocking the sun happens because the the planets in outer space slowly moves around the sun ever so often and eventually, the sun would have to align with the moon just as much so as the other planets aligning with other planets as well even though no one can see that happen other than space man who travel in space. Only those that live on the equator will get to see the lunar eclipse. So why would the whole world need to keep watch of the upcoming lunar eclipse when in reality, not everyone would get to witness that event? That’s because the lunar eclipse event bares no importance. If it does bare importance, then the whole world will witness it. The bible tells us a bigger event that will take place before Jesus Christ’s return. It states that there will be a great earthquake (so great that the heavenly bodies will be shaken due to God shaking the heavens and the earth according to verse Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:24-25, Hebrews 12:26, Isaiah 13:13, Joel 2:10, Isaiah 34:4) which it will cause the sun and moon to darken; even to cause the stars to fall from the sky and to no longer shine. Because these signs will be so great, the mountains as well as the Islands will split/melt/burn/be laid bare according to Nahum 1:5, Ezekiel 38:20 and 2 Peter 3:10 which many people (according to verse Revelation 6:15-17) would have to hid themselves in caves and among rocks of the mountains just to protect themselves from the great calamity/catastrophe of the coming of the Lord. But, you see, Mark Biltz doesn’t tells us nothing more about the event (other than to tell us about the sun blocking the moon which isn’t going to happen that way before Jesus Christ’s coming), also he doesn’t warn us about the danger of those coming days addressed in verse Luke 21:25-28;34-36, instead, he gives the gullible fake Christians false consolations. When Jesus says “keep watch,” he did not mean that we should keep watch on the signs in the heavens such as the moon and the sun. He meant was that we should remain sober minded and sober (not drunk) or else, that day will come upon us like a trap according to verses Luke 31:34-36 and 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. Like I said, Mark Biltz needs to not add to God’s word.

Last of all, where will the Christian gentiles celebrate the feast of tabernacles? Don’t you know that God true tabernacle is at Mount Zion and no place else according to verse Psalm 76:2. How then will you fake Christians be able to give offerings to God? God commanded his people not to build a tabernacle a.k.a. a building/altar for themselves according to verse Josh 22:18-23. He even warn Moses about that very same thing according to verse Hebrews 8:3-5 which says, “Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer. If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already priest who offer the gifts prescribed by the law. They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle…” Then towards verse Hebrews 8:7-8, it says, “for if there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people…” You can read the rest of what Paul said in verse Hebrews 8:8 or read the whole chapter of Hebrews 8 for yourself. When Christians soon receive their salvation, they will be gathered with Christ by standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb of God a.k.a. Jesus Christ according to verses Joel 2:32/Joel 2:28-32, Obadiah 1:21, Hebrews 12:18-29 and Revelation 14:1-5. Then they will give gift offerings to God and celebrate feast of tabernacle during the Lord’s reign according to chapter Isaiah 66 and Zechariah 14/verses Zechariah 14:16-19. For the true tabernacle (which is at Mount Zion) is set up by God, not by mere human beings according to verse Hebrews 8:2.
For this is what God said about the nations who show false humility towards him:
Verse Isaiah 1:11-17 says, “What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
             Says the LORD.
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
             And the fat of fed cattle;
And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
“When you come to appear before Me,
Who requires of you this trampling of My courts?

“Bring your worthless offerings no longer,
Incense is an abomination to Me.
New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies—
I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.

“I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts,
             They have become a burden to Me;
I am weary of bearing them.

“So when you spread out your hands in prayer,
             I will hide My eyes from you;
Yes, even though you multiply prayers,
             I will not listen.
Your hands are covered with blood.

     “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
             Cease to do evil,

     Learn to do good;
             Seek justice,
             Reprove the ruthless,
             Defend the orphan,
             Plead for the widow.”

Verse Hosea 9:5-6 says, “What will you do on the day of your appointed festivals,
on the feast days of the Lord?
Even if they escape from destruction,
    Egypt will gather them,
    and Memphis will bury them.
Their treasures of silver will be taken over by briers,
and thorns will overrun their tents.”

WARNING VERSE TO CHRISTIANS NOT TO LISTEN TO FALSE DOCTRINES LIKE THE RAPTURE (WHICH THE TERM, “THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD” IS ONLY RECORDED IN THE BIBLE, NOT THE TERM “THE RAPTURE”) NOR LISTEN TO FALSE PROPHETS/TEACHERS:
    (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God (cross referenced to verse Daniel 11:36-39).

Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan (a.k.a. the Serpent known as the dragon mentioned in the book of Revelation (according to verses Revelation 12:9 and Revelation 20:2) works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Bible quotes to take heed to:
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone into the world – 1 John 4:1.

Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil – 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22

    1. Hi Joe. I am going to let you post this, even though my policy is not to post long responses.

I do believe that the pre-trib rapture doctrine is incorrect, but I would urge that we save the term “false doctrine” for those teachings that betray the fundamental truths of the gospel – the trinity, the person of Christ, the means of salvation, and so forth.

    2. Hi Joe and Nakita. Great post. Love it. Thank you so much.
And I wish to thank you Gary for posting it even if it is long. It’s well worth it. Jim.

    1. Thanks!

I should add, with all respecto to you, that I hardly ever publish links to other sites, and that I would never link to Chick Publications. In my opinion they cause more problems than they solve. This is especially true with regard to Bible translations: they follow a cult called the Ruckmanites, which says that Jesus would have used the 1611 version, and that the KJV is the only inspired Bible. The very title “Which Bible Version would Jesus Use?” is this sort of false mindset about the inspired Word of God. This is a cult, not an evangelical or even a fundamentalist viewpoint. They aren’t as bad as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, but they are cultic in their view of inspiration.

  3. I was just reading today about a man, Jim Rickards or something, who claims in the next 6 months the stock market will totally die out and cause WW3. And he wants us ALL to BUY his book and subscribe to his $50 news letters and learn how to survive. And further investigation shows Christians are connecting September 13th, the last blood moon I believe, with this prediction called ‘project prophecy’ which says the CIA is tanking the economy for NWO. Opinions Gary?

    1. Nonsense. Or better, complete nonsense.

There’s always a guy selling a book, or gold bars, or survival kits, and linking them to some conspiracy or some particular view of Bible prophecy.

Just ignore them and they fly by like pages in a history book.

  4. Well you will get a big shock when nukes are used,, dreamed of it ,,will happen before xmass,,2014″” am not very often wrong with my dreams, only when I have interpreted them wrongly then to see real meaning after event,,,but to dream of places being nuked is preety obvious ,,,most likely 11 ,12 november,,PS.dreamed of 911 3 years before it happened,, dreamed of project blue beam type stuff aswell

    1. Hi Mike, thanks for sharing.

Well – I need a lot more to go on than “Mike had a dream” – with all respect. And there are a LOT of people who were able to see the future, but they only figured it out in hindsight. True prophets don’t need that, they tell the future up front.

So – tell me the place and date, and a few days afterward you and I will meet on this blog and we will discuss if you had a real revelation.

I don’t believe in Project Blue Beam, but again, tell me how it will come to pass, and we will check out the details afterward.

  5. I just read through the comments and have one of my own.
I was curious about Biltz since he was the originator of all this nonsense so I watched a ‘sermon’ by him.
Before it started he fielded a few questions. One was from a man that asked about the discrepancies with the various calanders and how the Jewish calander is not in fact ancient but was made in the 12th century (I am not sure of the exact details of the question, but you get the jist) there are discrepancies with the calculation method is my point.
Biltz likened it to someone going around acting like a shariff arresting people. Who would go to jail? The person impersonating a cop. Why? He asked. Because he would not have authority to do these things.
He went on to say those who are saying the accounting method is off aren’t Jewish! They don’t have the authority to make these claims……….
Can you believe the audacity to answer the mans honest question with an answer the outdoes the best Fox News commentators!
Totally sidestepped the question. As if to say if you question Biltz’s reasoning your are not qualified to comment if you aren’t Jewish!
The more I think about it that’s a racist statement! Not to mention he sidestepped the real issue – the calander May or may not (probably not) be right- but implying that only Jewish people can be right about this.
Two people one a Jew and the other a non- jew both looking simultaneously at the same data, only the Jewish guy has the ‘AUTHORITAY’ (in my best South Park voice) to say what’s right.
    …..
What gets me though is that people just eat this all up.
Know what I think? I think this kind of thing is an indictment on the church. It’s a sign to show who are the faithful and who are the ones with itching ears seeking someone- anyone who will tell them something to satisfy their ‘itch’.
It’s a sign of the times
    Thanks, bob

  6. So far, I know about John Hagee… Yes that is false…. Anyway, off the subject, Do you believe Sun around earth or Earth around Sun? thanks

  7. Btw, quick question. I read your comments and you said a generation is not 70 years and I’ve heard endless debates. How long is a generation exactly?

    1. Hey Krista! Some say 40, some 70, some another number. I think the question is formulated wrong, since a generation is what it is – when grandpa dies, that’s the end of his generation.

A generation is not like π, which must always be 3.14159.

  8. Hi Gary,

Also, it is obligatory to point out they forgot to input several key factors

Historically inaccurate facts: They claimed the moons coincided with Israel coming up as a nation when really it became a nation in 1948 not 1949. I think that’s a bit late to the party

They also tried to use the Jewish expulsion from Spain which was, again, before the tetrads. The only event that took place during the tetrads was the six day war and I’m sure that was coincidence.

Lack of scriptural understanding: The whole “blood moon” factor is determined by atmospheric properties. The Bible does indicate the moon will turn red and the sun black, but it us implied this happens only once at the end of the tribulation and not consecutively four times. It also said earthquakes and eruptions would happen. Ergo, it is implied that these disasters are what cause the moon to turn red and the sun to black could be caused by an asteroid of even Wormwood. It us known that volcanic ash could cause enough atmospheric disturbance to produce a red moon.

    1. Oh and als

Location location location: The scripture also implies everyone will see these moons. They forgot to mention Israel might not see them. Some warning that is.

    2. Hi Krista! I do appreciate your comments, very good help here, thanks!

What’s your educational background? Or do you just have a logical mind? 🙂

His exegesis, astronomy, math and his grasp of history are pretty sketchy.

Krakatoa produced strange atmospheric coloration around the world for a year afterward it erupted, but of course this was in 1883, not “at the end of the age.”

People read into the Bible what they want, especially Bible prophecy. For example, the idea that the forthcoming “cashless society” is somehow predicted in Revelation 13. It is not; a cash economy works equally well with the mark of the beast in 13:16-17. Nor does Revelation speak of microchip implants, credit cards, etc. The mark could just as easily be a tattoo or – and I think it’s a real possibility, given the “invisible” mark in 14:1, that it refers to loyalty to the beast, not a literal mark.

      1. I have a year of college, but I’ve been a scholar for who knows how long. I tend to look up facts before buying into the hype.

In truth, the second coming has been “prophesied” many times. People often thought Revelation was being fulfilled in WW 2. I think it has to do with more of a generalization of how people interpret scripture rather than look at specific or double check their facts

Just today, I was reading news on the Ukrainian crisis and and people are already fearing a nuclear Armageddon. The Christians on the comments even tried using Ezekiel 38 and Revelation 16:16 without realizing neither have anything to do with the situation.

It seems to be a trend that everytime a natural disaster happens or a crisis breaks out people adopt a formidable “the end is nigh” attitude.

However, I was reading an article that said these things are meant to happen in a vicious cycle. Even Jesus said that when these things happen, the end is not yet, but only “birthing pangs”.

I am glad people are getting into prophecy and such, but the end times hype and the cornucopia of false preachers and paranoia does not help matters.

        1. Yeah, I have to agree. You might enjoy my article on Gog and Magog. They have been predicting the Second Coming ever since I became a disciple and Bible reader, a generation ago.

And yes, I did see a guy saying he could prove it’s the End because of Russia occupying the Crimea. Man, it never ends! I don’t think Russia appears in the Bible.

          1. Exactly! I read it by the way. It really sheds some light.

Indeed, even Jesus’ disciples thought they would see the end in their lifetime. Everyone has to remember God is in control and not to fear things like an impending nuclear Armageddon or economic collapse until God says the end is nigh

I’ve heard everything from we’re already in the tribulation to WW3 has already happened or this and that is going to cause WW 3 to the fact people believe it already happened in 70 AD , which is a doctrine that has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.

  9. Ah, finally…voice of reason! Refreshing to read your words of sound biblical thinking amid the shouts of the misguided. Thank you!!

  10. Pastor John Hagee did said that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will fight for you in his sermon about the four Blood Moons. Seems like the God Pastor Hagee worshipped is NOT a compassionate, merciful, slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfullness as written in the Bible.

By the way we, whether Jews or Gentiles are all His creations and He loves us and will not want us to perish as everyone is precious to Him.

Hence I think it would be more in line with God’s will to preach for all to come to repentence and not so about a God who is going to fight for you.

  11. The missing part on my comment which for some reason was not entered and posted.

Take note it will happen in Jerusalem and not in Rome as many say it being Babylon. The revelation said no human can kill them and the only one that can kill them is Satan the Devil himself. Then and only then the Antichrist will be known and be revealed to all on planet earth and does the Abomination of Desolation on the Temple Mount which now has the new Temple that was rebuilt.
This starts the Great Tribulation which will last 3 and a half years, because Satan and his followers (angelic beings) were cast down and banished from Heaven and Satan will be one very angry Angelic being and will want to kill all of Human kind to claim that victory.
Yeshua also said that it will be so bad humanity has never seen nor ever shall see again and had not the days been shorten NO FLESH would be saved Alive!!!!!
Now go back to the above paragraph where a date was given regarding Jupiter being birthed September 9, 2017!!!! Do you understand the significance of this at all?? If not I explain. This is when the Antichrist is born!!!!
Right now we are in the Second Trumpet and the Second Seal. Each of these Trumps and opening of the seals occur every 10 years. The first Trump began 1996, second started 2006, third starts 2026, fourth starts 2036, fifth starts 2046, the sixth starts 2056, and the last seventh starts 2066. In the year of 2066, June is considered the 6th month, and the 6th day of that month, which says the number 666. The 7 bowls of wrath start on the 7th Trump during the Great Tribulation period. The bowls and the 7th trump is timed together, every 180 days.
The 7 year agreement will be signed around December 18th of 2062 and officially ratified by United Nations on January 6th 2063. The Great Tribulation starts June 6th, 2066, and ends on January 6th 2070. The Lord known as Yeshua will come 45 days later (1,335 days) as it said being the Passover in the year 2070 which happens to be in March on that year.

Now lets get the age of the Antichrist into this picture. Born 2017 OK. By year of 2066 this individual will be 49 years old!!!!

Here is another significant fact. The temple was destroyed in A.D. 70 It will be almost 2,000 years since its destruction. After the temple was destroyed, Israel had no rain for 1,879 years (and yes its true) and started having rain again after it became a Nation officially in May of 1949!!!!! Only recently it had SNOW in 2013 in the Holy Land which has never happend the last 1,943 years!!!!!

Some of this is Gregorian mixed with Jewish calendar, and Yeshua said to follow the Feasts according to the Moon and its lunar cycles for the month as your calendar.

What happened is today we go by the Gregorian Calendar which was created by the Catholic Church in Rome. The Jews follow a different calendar under the lunar cycles. This alone brings up a lot of confusion. Also many for some reason think the B.C. to A.D. transition jumped from 1 B.C to 1 A.D. Zero is a number, so technically everybody is one year off. It should have went 1 B.C. to Zero then to 1 A.D. for the proper sequence.

The preachers of today have no clue of what really is going on. I will explain. The revelation is divided into 4 different parts, and Satan is not done until the Great White Throne Judgment. Here is the 4 parts

  12. Greetings: These Blood Moons and the two eclipses are in fact significant, because Israel and Jerusalem will see all these events. Furthermore it is even more rare for such to be seen in Israel as most blood moons are not seen in or around Israel itself including the eclipses!!!!. When Jerusalem sees these events, its been extremely very accurate, something happens either a year before to a year after it. Most of the time. In fact it has never failed.

To start with I am a Messianic Gentile, who believes in Yeshua, and I do try to observe Yeshua’s commandments > the Feasts and the Sabbath. Yes I am guilty at times for failure to do so because sometimes my personal life and situations force me to sort of break the law and I must do it like it or not.

More rare is when 4 of these blood moons happen consecutively.
Even more rare is when all four of these consecutive blood moons occur on Gods Holy Festivals or Holy Days. (The Bible never calls these feasts “Jewish feasts” They are referred to as “The Feasts of the Lord”) Don’t be deceived into being left out >That is what is going to happen in the 2014/2015 year.

Meaning: Israel will see full lunar eclipses on Passover 2014, Tabernacles 2014, Passover 2015 and Feast of Tabernacles 2015.

Here is another interesting factor > Hannuka will also fall right on Thanksgiving which is celebrated in USA and it will be the only time such event will ever take place

3 rather rare things will also occur in 2016 and 2017 starting November 20,2016 Jupiter known as the “King planet” germinates the astrolological sign and Virgos womb and goes into retrograde motion within Virgo for 41 weeks or the length of normal human gestation period and will exit Virgos womb or will be birthed Sept 9, 2017. Interesting to note that the only planet that has gestation of 41 week will enter in this same time period between 2014
September 23, 2017 will be another Supermoon. Not a extremely rare event but it has relevance as well. This will be a 50th Jubilee anniversary. Virgo will be clothed.
Let me point out something to you. Our Yeshua did tell us the days and gave us the signs to know so that we will know it truly > Example 1,290 + 1,290 (total of 2,580 days which makes it 7 years under the Jewish calendar) . The first set starts AFTER Israel signs that Agreement to be able to build that 3rd Temple, which in effect begins that time frame. The TWO WITNESSES will also appear the first 3 and a half years having powers to shut the Heavens. Means no rain to the sinning nation and also has the power to do as they wish against these Nations. These two witness are Enoch and Elijah. These two never saw death and were taken away by Yehovah. They will be killed at the half way mark and be left open on the street for all to see for 3 and a half days and nights where our Yeshua was Crucified.< Humanity’s Great Tribulation, (Satan and the Antichrist is held in Prison),(then the Saints and people who walked righteously and believed in Yeshua will be raised) (Second Coming) then the Messianic Reign of Yeshua for 1,000 years, then again Satan is released and Satan’s temptation (duration is unknown and not revealed) and then the final Great White Throne Judgment.

Yeshua also said even He does not know the day or the hour of when this takes place but only His Father known as Yehovah. When this takes place EVERYBODY comes out of death, from the ground and the seas of Earth all those written in the Book of Life. After everybody gets to see who the Great Deceiver is and the Antichrist, these two are the first to be thrown to the lake of fire. Then the separation of the sheeps and the goats is done. Those of the Goats are cast away. The sheep will be kept by Yeshua and given eternal life.

How will Yeshua know which is which. Yeshua will see what was in your heart and of what you have done with your life in an instant faster than the blink of the eye, and also know what thoughts you had during your lifetime. The main key here is your belief in Yeshua, and believing he died for all of us, follow (The Lords Feasts, the 10 commandments, and keeping the Sabbath), how you were with others around you, and asking Him to save you and love His Name plus the other good works He will want to see.

What about the Neantherdahls as they existed for approximately 500,000 years? They are human beings as well. Do they have a chance?? Did they know of about Yeshua??? We today have conclusive evidence of their existence going back over 30,000 years ago which is when they went extinct. So I am sure they too are written in the Book of Life. What Yeshua will do here on this subject is Unknown. However, I’ve a feeling just a gut feeling they will be involved during the Messiahs 1,000 year reign. Why? because they too deserve to know Yeshua and know who He is and wants from them.

This makes absolute sense because it is said and written in the Bible, that Satan will be released from Prison to temp again before the Great White Throne Judgment. Satan will have these individuals to tempt and this duration is unknown. At this point Yehovah will call the final decision who is Yeshua’s Father.

I do not profess to say these are predicitions, I do not profess to say all will happen here. However, it seems rather odd that for some reason the things I mention here is falling in place. Why I do not know.

Right now we today all know of about the incredible debt a lot of countries have and such cannot be paid off. For simplicity, the dollar or paper money and paper bonds or certificates, Wall Street is going to collapse completely. Its possible these Blood Moons will indicate this impending collapse and the world enters calamity of immense proportions. We also know of the NWO plans of the elite, and their intentions to control the masses (people) and of their plan to institute the chip upon us all. Without that chip you cannot buy or sell. We also know of Islam reaching nearly around the entire globe. This is a very sick and dangerous cult. They will also change the law regarding worship. Islam is Satan’s religion believe it or not.

Did I say something here that has already been prophesied by the prophets and what was written in the Bible??? YES.^^^

A generation is 70 years. Most people live between 70 to 85 and some do reach 100 or more. Not many though. I am now almost 61 years old. I am not the last generation but the generation before the last. The last Generation began in 1996, of which are those born at that time. These children are the ones who are going to see the horror of horrors yet to come as I have said above.

So do not panic, just relax and read the Bible and do your best to follow Yeshua’s Feasts of the Lord, and keep his Sabbath and believe in your heart Yeshua did die and is risen to save us all. Just be on watch and pray and use your heads OK.

    Peace.

    Dave P.

    1. Again, if you want to follow astrology, fine, but this is not cool for a follower of God. I would urge everyone to study the Bible not magic. Numerology is the same thing, and what you are saying falls under the condemnation of the apostle in 1 Tim 1:4 – people should not “devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith.”

The Bible says zero about Islam. Since Islam is on the rise, people are pegging it to the last days, just like they did in the Middle Ages, but there is no proof that this is so.

The Bible says zero about Wall Street; I have heard about a collapse of Wall Street just about every year for decades – so next year, write in and we’ll see if Wall Street is still there.

While we can predict with accuracy lunar eclipses to the minute, ask any scientist and they will tell you it’s impossible to predict a so-called blood moon, since the reddish color of the moon is determined by atmospheric conditions at the exact moment. I saw one as a child: the eclipse was predicted by scientists but not the copper color, which was the result of the atmospheric dust between me and the moon. So the prediction of four blood moons is nonsense, plus Hagee doesn’t even get the dates of the eclipses right. Hagee would have failed a high school science exam on the subject.

A generation is not 70 years.

Neither Chanukah nor US Thanksgiving are Biblically set feasts, so I’m not sure why their overlapping (in 2013) is any sort of sign of the End Times.

You say: “We also know of the NWO plans of the elite, and their intentions to control the masses (people) and of their plan to institute the chip upon us all. Without that chip you cannot buy or sell. We also know of Islam reaching nearly around the entire globe.” No, there are conspiracy theories about the NWO and chips, but no proof. Take a look at my blog on Obamacare and chips. Show me one individual who has a chip, and please don’t use the argument, “Well, it could happen!” Anything could happen, but Bible students need to speak the truth, accurately, and not follow rabbit trails about giant computers, Bilderbergs, NWO, chips, etc.

You say: “I do not profess to say these are predictions, I do not profess to say all will happen here. However, it seems rather odd that for some reason the things I mention here is falling in place. Why I do not know.”

If these are not predictions and cannot be proved by the Bible or by astronomy, then why are you sharing them as fact? And please don’t say, as Hagee does, “Well, I’m not a prophet, I’m just saying that something will happen.” Well of course, something will happen, it always does – but a prophet such as Isaiah or John does not say “Something will happen” but “This is what will happen.” With all respect, either make a prediction or no, and then next year write in and we’ll see what took place, and one of us can apologize.

  13. Ty Mr. Shorten for your insight. I’ve read things and seen things on YouTube until I’m about to cry. I’m a CHRISTian and yes I believe the LORD is coming back. Your blog makes sense.i just don’t understand what hagee is up too. I use to listen to him preach but scared to now. Anyways do you think anything will happen with these moons?

    1. Hi Chad, in fact I am “Shogren” not “Shorten”. I imagine your Spell-Check made that change!

I don’t think anything will happen as a fulfillment of Hagee’s predictions. He always leaves himself an escape, but not predicting the Second Coming but saying “something will happen!” Well, something is always happen. If you pick any random date and then look in the newspaper, you could with a little imagination find some momentous fulfillment of Bible prophecy, but it would be a trick. It is about as supernatural as a fortune cookie.

Looking forward with you to the Blessed Hope! Gary

  14. Thank you for this blog. I couldn’t agree more. Anyone following Hagee’s teaching really needs to be careful. He can say he’s not setting a date until he’s blue in the face but the second he tied in the blood moon dates with the return of Christ he contradicts himself. What gets me is people who say we can’t know the day or hour but we can know the year. No where does Scripture encourage us to try and predict the end. God is not bound to our calendar or our concept of time. A buddy of mine said it best. ‘You have a better chance of winning the Powerball lottery 10000 times in a row than you have predicting the return of Christ’. God Bless you for speaking out against this teaching!

    1. Hi Jarrod, blessings!

“Now, I’m not setting a date” is one of the world’s great lies, along with “the check is in the mail.”

People imagine they are okay so long as they don’t give a day a month, but people who predict a year, decade, or even century are violating Christ’s warning.

      1. Hi Gary. Your right. We should not even predict the century. I”m guilty of predicting the century myself. I have stopped doing it.

    2. Well said Jarrod. I love your buddy’s statement.! I’m going to use it myself when I talk to people.

  15. Thank you for sharing, Mr. Shogren. By the way, my father sent this book to me as a Christmas gift. He really gets into that TBN/Daystar televangelist sensationalism. Oh well! I’ll read it, for a few laughs, if nothing else.

  16. Gary,
Many thanks for your in depth reply, much appreciated, Very helpful. I had mistakenly assumed that this Jewish dating system of which we are now in the year 5774 PRECEDED the Apostolic age; after all the Jews have been around for a long time? Many Christians often quote Josephus and other writings; I had mistakenly thought there may have been something hidden in the Old Testament that had maybe only been revealed to the Jewish sages of old.
No you were not being disingenuous; sorry, forgive me. I am not stupid, just uneducated, and sometimes use inappropriate words.

It is my belief that by adding the biblical ages in the Bible we can determine the approximate age of mankind and therefore the age of the planet, that is if we believe Exodus 20.11; that every thing was done in six LITERAL days?
But, NO man can tell us EXACTLY how old the earth is. Are works like Ussher’s really helpful at all? When I read Hosea 6.1-3, I believe the prophet is telling us that after 2000 years “He will revive us, and on the third day” (millennial morning) we shall be ressurrected? 2 Peter 3.8, Psalm 90.4. It is from Scriptures like these that make me believe the Lord’s return cannot be afar off? Although we have to yet see a literal rebuilding of Babylon first. Jerusalem was rebuilt in 52 days, maybe Babylon could be similar?
    God bless you.

    1. Hi Colin, Well, Hosea does’t say in two or three thousand years, but 2-3 days. So, from the outset, you are taking time markers metaphorically. Really, if you believe that a day can be a thousand years, then why take Gen 1-2 as days and not eons?

No, no one can say when exactly how old the earth is, neither by radiocarbon dating, etc, nor by the biblical data. Both old-earth creationists and (non-Ussherian) young-earth creationists are giving approximate dates.

I don’t think the Bible presages a rebuilding of Babylon.

And if the Lord had biblical proofs that the age would not end for 2000 years, why didn’t he say so, instead of saying the original apostles had to be alert since the time is unknowable?

  17. People still have not learned from the crap we all heard before. The Jupiter Effect, the Bible Code, the Quatrains of Nostradamus, Y2K and the December 21st 2012 end of the world crap. It’s all witchcraft and nothing is going to happen the next few years. We are not anywhere near the second coming so forget it. The second coming is about 225 years in the future. Satan is having a field day with us. This 4 blood moons is just more crap coming from Satan. It’s witchcraft and the bible warns us about this kind of stuff.

    1. Dear James, thanks for the the note.

I do have to say that, setting a date for 225 years in the future is exactly as illegitimate and deceptive as predicting a date for this month. Same wrong method, different outcome.

      1. Hi Gary. We are in the Jewish year 5774. When we get near the 6000 year mark then I may, ( I probably would not ), look for the second coming if I was still alive. In the mean time I’ll keep doing God’s work and let him worry about when he’s coming back. Sometimes I think the work of God suffers because Christians concentrate their time and energy on this kind of stuff.
You do a wonderful work for God by de-bunking all this blood moons crap and all the other works you do to set the records straight
and keep the flock on the right course. Job well done. Your in my prays always, Jim.

        1. Why is the Jewish year the key? And who set that clock running? Some rabbis, not God. Setting the date by that means is no more legit than those who predicted that 6000 years would elapse around the year 2000, it seems to me.

          1. Gary,
I have often wondered (I have only put minimal research into it) why the “Jewish year/clock” is at considerable variance with Ussher’s chronology and the generally accepted (YEC Christian) norm that the world is 6,000 years old (being a YEC! And yes, I am NOT KJV only). This would then lead to a 1000 year millennial Sabbatical reign? The seven day week is typological of this? Outside of God’s Word there is NO basis for a seven day week, or is there?
Many seem to put much emphasis (and to some extent, I do as well) on Jewish teaching; as was it not to the Jews that the “oracles of God were committed”, Romans 3.2?
When you say “some rabbis, not God” are you not being just a little disingenuous?
Maybe you can shed some greater light on this for me?
            Every blessing.

          2. Hi Colin, right now (Dec 2013) we are in the Jewish year 5774, which they calculate from about a year before the creation of the world. Wikipedia says that the Jewish reckoning of today was calculated very late, in the 12th century AD. It is not ancient nor found in the Bible. They added up the ages of people in the Bible, using a method similar to Ussher’s.

As I have mentioned in another place, I know of no compelling evidence in the Bible or elsewhere that the world was created in 4004 BC (Ussher) or 5774 years ago.

The Bible does not say that the millennium is the “seventh thousand” of creation. I believe the first person known to teach this was the author of the Epistle of Barnabas 15 (from the mid-2nd century; it was NOT written by the Bible’s Barnabas):

‘And God made in six days the works of His hands, and made an end on the seventh day, and rested on it, and sanctified it.’ Attend, my children, to the meaning of this expression, ‘He finished in six days.’ This implieth that the Lord will finish all things in six thousand years, for a day is with Him a thousand years. And He Himself testifieth, saying, ‘Behold, today will be as a thousand years.’ Therefore, my children, in six days, that is, in six thousand years, all things will be finished. ‘And He rested on the seventh day.’ This meaneth: when His Son, coming [again], shall destroy the time of the wicked man, and judge the ungodly, and change the-sun, and the moon, and the stars, then shall He truly rest on the seventh day.

A clever calculation, but one that does not find support in the Bible, unless one combines three texts (Gen 2-3, 2 Peter 3, Rev 20) that the Bible itself does not indicate should be combined as by a secret code.

The seven-day week was not practiced in the Roman Empire, but came to be used in the centuries following. This meant that there were no “weekends” in Jesus’ day, and “Sunday” was not a day that the Romans recognized. Hence, people had to work on “Sundays” and attend church early in the morning and then later at sundown.

“Disingenous” is a bit strong, no? If you have information that shows that God gave a rabbi an oracle in the 12th century AD that allowed him to set the date of creation, please share it.

          3. Hi Gary. I can not answer your questions because I don’t have a deep or complete understanding of the Bible. I’m going on things I have been told by many different people over a time period of many many years. So, I can not back up anything I say with Bible proof.

  18. One thing to comment on, there is wisdom in eating kosher. Science shows that pig meat is not the healthiest of the meats still even after cured. The second thing is that Sabbath sensitivity is important in order for a congregation to be all things to all people. Thirdly, understanding the Jewishness of the Gospel and even the letters clears up a lot of misconceptions. So do you like when you have to carry a debt beyond seven years ? This would not be the case of the Torah. His yoke it light. I am leary of this prophecy though and I like your arguments about the moons may not being red. Hagee holds over 4000 acres of land in Texas not sure why if he anticipates the LORD’s return.

    1. Hi Gary, thanks for writing.

As far as kosher food goes, shrimp or a pork chop are a whole lot healthier than most of the food we eat today.

As a Gentile Christian, not only do I not have an obligation to follow Torah, it’s also true that if I do try to, I will probably wander away from the Spirit’s transforming power in me in order to follow my own efforts. Of course, Sabbath sensitivity is important when I am dealing with true Jewish Christians, but there is no obligation for me to follow it – the Gentiles of the New Testament had to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

How can I pick up items from the buffet of Torah, when God says that it’s either be circumcised and follow all 613 commands, or remain uncircumcised and focus on walking in the Spirit?

I own my own copy of the Mishnah, Talmud, the Midrashim, as well as the Dead Sea Scrolls and other Second Temple literature and regular consult them. I teach the “Jewish Backgrounds of the New Testament” course, and yes, that perspective does help clear up some issues, but not all. My impression is that some teachers – and I’m not including you, of course – pick and choose some Jewish material to back up their doctrines, but ignore the vast majority of the rabbinic and apocalyptic traditions.

      Many blessings!

  19. Ah, the Hebrew Roots Movement… I heard about it a couple of years ago. I heard someone listening to a video explaining why the book of James should be called “Jacob”. The argument was so flawed. First, “Jacob” (with an ‘a’ as in ‘ate’) is clearly an Anglicised form, and not “original” Hebrew. Second, they claimed it was new revelation that “James” wasn’t in the original bible. You don’t have to be an expert scholar to notice what the book has been called in other languages, especially other Germanic languages. And third (and I’ve heard this myth from other people since), they asserted that the word “James” was invented in the KJV to please the King. I was intrigued by this so I decided to see what the book was called in the much earlier Tyndale Bible, only to find it was called “Iames”.

    1. I see now, perhaps it’s proof of conspiracy that King James I expunged Jakov from all the existing Tyndale Bibles!

Listen, I have an Anglicized German name and Swedish last name, both of which are changed in English. Then, I work in a Spanish language culture. This means that when someone addresses me, they use a pronunciation that would be unrecognizable in Swedish, German or English. And you know what? It doesn’t matter! Nor am I offended that they use inauthentic versions of my names!

Yes, this idea that “we scholars have now discovered a new thing” is intellectual dishonesty, but a method often used by unethical teachers.

  20. Gary,
This “Blood Moon” teaching has certainly taken off in pre trib circles.
I believe it was originated by a Mark Biltz. You well know people love listening to false prophets as the Scriptures teach in the OT and NT, Jeremiah 5.31 & 2 Timothy 4.3? I understand Hagee believes in some kind of a “dual covenant” theology, which is certainly opposed to Acts 4.12?
The site that you linked with on this piece, would you agree to their amendments to the WCF? Certainly I can see why they say they have “an alternate view of prophecy”! They even believe that Isaiah 13 is fulfilled! To quote them; “The “the Day of the Lord” passages in the Old Testament are all fulfilled”! You should read how they allegorise Isaiah 13.10!
It took me a long time to get into the habit of calling the “full moon” a new moon, it makes me think of those old werewolf movies!

    1. Hi Colin, you’re right about Hagee’s soteriology, which is by far more corrosive than his eschatology.

A New Moon is the opposite of the full moon.

The original website I mentioned only for its astronomical data, not for anything else. I have now changed it to a booklet on Amazon by my friend Bob Newman.
